Radzimir JIMEK Dębski is one of the young generation's most intriguing and famous composers. He composes film music, hip-hop and jazz music arrangements, and many of his symphonic works. He has been awarded many a time for his work, and each of his concerts is an event gathering full stadiums and halls for which tickets are sold like "hot cakes". He was also one of the artists who performed in 2014 during the week-long inauguration of the Philharmonic in Szczecin in the new seat.

Jacek Hałas is a music and theatre artist, founder of many folk formations, and above all, a musician, singer, dancer and promoter of folk culture. He is passionate about the traditions of itinerant singers and processional dance, the traces of which he looks for in ethnographic sources and home archives. He also conducts workshops and educational activities. It is Hałas who is responsible for the concept and direction of the concert opening this year's edition of the MDF festival, during which he will perform with other traditional musicians and the Szczecin Philharmonic under the baton of Jimek. The artists will combine tradition with modernity, creating a musical metaphor for the so-called rites of passage – rituals that change a person's life and allow one to achieve harmony in life, harmony with both themself and the world.

The concert of JIMEK and Jacek Hałas is the result of the exciting cooperation of artists who move in completely different musical and artistic styles daily. The artists will open the first day of the fifth edition of MUSIC.DESIGN.FORM Festival.On September 21, magic will happen in the golden hall of the Philharmonic, which will show both men's creative potential and our producers' technical capabilities! We will become witnesses of a musical spectacle in which the starting point for the interpretation of Dębski and Hałas will be Mickiewicz's Ballads and Romances and the traditional rituals described therein.

Since its first edition in 2018, the Szczecin MDF Festival has efficiently escaped the definition of a music festival, and the events of subsequent editions have surprised many viewers expecting classical sounds in the philharmonic orchestra.
